Next up is this invaluable tool for marketers who need information about the products, events and services that matter most to their audiences. Google Trends uses real-time data to help marketers gauge consumer search behaviours over time. Start by searching for your own products and services to identify key times for search traffic.
CoSchedule Headline Analyser
A free tool you can use to analyse your headlines (be that blog titles, email subject lines or social headers), taking emotion, length, balance, structure and sentiment into consideration. A compelling headline can help drive traffic, shares and search results.

They’re not for everyone or every brand, but sometimes a meme can be the perfect thing to sum up mood. Have a look at the examples on the site and see if you could make something similar work for you. But use with caution!
Canva is a free graphic-design tool website. It features an easy to use drag-and-drop interface and access to more than a million photographs, graphics, and fonts. It’s really useful for creating presentations and graphics for blog and social media posts. A app version for tablets is also available.

Hootsuite offers simple social listening (with weekly analytics reports) as well as scheduling and publishing features. The basic plan is free and is perfect for managing all of your social media in one handy place.
This free-to-use tool allows search and analysis of social media, organised into a single stream. Influence is measured by strength, sentiment (positive, neutral or negative), passion and reach. Great for quickly tracking what people are saying about a topic or product.
Use SocialRank to find and analyse your social media followers. Organise and manage your followers on Twitter and Instagram in order to better understand who they are (see example, right). You can use the basic version for free.
Billed as “Your personal data scientist”, this cross-platform analytics tool produces charts to help you gain insights, create data-driven content, and discover what works best for you and your business.
This Moz app helps you explore and grow your Twitter following. Dig deeper into Twitter analytics: Who are your followers? Where are they located? When do they tweet? You can even view interactive charts of new followers and unfollows.
